40 hours a week is a myth. At least in biology, AP is much easier than the real thing. In college, you would go 2 or 3 times a week max. To the claim that they help students in college, it is true that students who take AP courses are more likely to succeed in college. (Please do not drink College Light if under 21.) One day in a college lecture probably equates to about 3 or 4 days of an AP class, maybe even a week. One represents the lowest possible score, while five represents the highest possible score.
